Description

Our next guest is Kevin Schoeppel.  Kevin was raised in Southern Baptist churches, and began teaching the Bible in 1992. In 1999 he was ordained as a deacon by Pima Street Baptist Church of Tucson, and in 2006 was elected Adult Education Director of the church. In this position he began writing his own material for the two Bible classes which he taught there, and began his public speaking there by filling the church’s pulpit on Sunday nights. Kevin’s interest in psychics began in 1975, with a girlfriend who could predict the future. This relationship sparked his interest in social attitudes towards psychics, and in how psychic ability actually worked. He married his wife Stanna—also a psychic—in 1978. In the mid-2000’s, as paranormal shows such as “Medium” and “Ghost Whisperer” began to appear on television, his students began to ask Kevin what the Bible said about psychics and mediums. Upon joining Facebook in 2009, Kevin began to make friends with mediums, who were happy to share their experiences with him upon realizing that he accepted them and their gifts. In 2010 he met Melanie Runyan, a medium in Kingman, AZ, and the two remained close friends until her passing in March 2014. At the encouragement of his wife Stanna and Melanie, Kevin began writing The Bible: The Truth about Psychics & Spiritual Gifts in 2012, based upon his findings that the Bible did not support the church’s assertion that psychic and mediumship abilities were evil in origin, but rather were bonafide spiritual gifts from God. As a result of the book, Kevin has been the featured guest on several Internet talk shows, such as David M. Baker’s Beyond The Gate Radio and Christina George’s Paranormal Connections. Kevin lives near Tucson, Arizona with his wife Stanna and their son Ryan. See www.bibleforpsychics.com . The book link is: www.amazon.com/dp/1484127668
