Tonight's special guest is Jeanette Golden from Hemphill, Texas, whose abuse started at an early age (about 4 years old). She wrote a book, 'The Warrior Inside', about her experiences. "It was sexual, verbal, emotional, physical abuse, by my stepfather, brothers, uncles, and neighborhood men," she shares. "It was like being in a deep hole, lonely, desperate, hellish, fearful, insecurity. I had terrible nightmares with animals coming at me. I had built walls and even today I am still dealing with some of it." She goes on, "At the age of 14 I decided to leave home in the middle of the night to live in the streets because I didn’t trust anyone. I was homeless for about six months. I left because I knew I HAD to leave. I had already failed suicide. I could see that if I stayed, my future would hold more of the same, as well as prison because of the things my family required of me – such as shoplifting, theft. I felt more comfortable in the streets – I wasn’t scared living in the streets." But she's better now. "I’ve been set free and set free from the snares of the enemy. I am walking free and confident in the power of God’s love and provision for me. I do have great mentors that I can go to if I need to. I am the co-pastor of Only Believe Ministries and I speak in various conferences as invited." Jeannette is Vice President of Lighthouse Development, North Texas Region area board, with Aglow International. “I fight my battles through God.”
