Description

Erick Fabris was one of the “West End Psychiatric Survivors” who started Psychiatric Survivor Pride Day in Toronto in the 1990s. His work with Pride and the No Force Coalition led him to look into Community Treatment Orders for his masters thesis.  He published a book on this topic in 2011 titled “Tranquil Prisons.” Erick has moved away from peer advocacy services and academic work and is presently hosting mad cultural events in Toronto. Fabris uses culture and creativity to rally community for resisting psychiatry.   Check out Crazt Talks here: www.erickfabris.com/crazytalks Learn more about "Tranquil Prisons" here: http://www.utppublishing.com/Tranquil-Prisons-Chemical-Incarceration-under-Community-Treatment-Orders.html Contact Erick Fabris here: efabris@teksavvy.com
