"For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."— Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
In 1 Samuel 1, we meet Hannah, a mother whose faith, perseverance, and encouragement helped shape one of Israel’s greatest prophets—Samuel. Even before he was born, Hannah prayed for him. When he was weaned, she brought him to the temple and dedicated him to the Lord’s service. What stands out is that Hannah didn’t hold Samuel back for her comfort. She released him into greatness because she recognized God’s hand on his life.
