Parenting isn’t just about teaching manners or enforcing rules—it’s about shaping hearts and renewing minds for Kingdom living. Romans 12:2 calls us to be different from the world. That begins at home. Consider Timothy in Scripture. Paul wrote that Timothy’s sincere faith first lived in his grandmother Lois and his mother Eunice (2 Timothy 1:5). From childhood, Timothy was shaped by godly influences who pointed him to Scripture and truth. His mindset wasn’t molded by culture, but by the Word of God. As godly parents, we must plant seeds of truth early—through what we say, model, and celebrate. Our children are constantly learning, and the world is quick to teach. But when we intentionally shape their mindset through Scripture, grace, discipline, and love, we raise children who think differently, choose wisely, and shine brightly.
