Rest Is a Gift We Must Embrace
In a world that glorifies busyness, rest often feels like a luxury. Yet Jesus clearly invites us into rest—His rest. As parents, we carry the weight of many responsibilities: work, home, school runs, spiritual leadership, and everything in between. If we don’t model what it means to rest in God, our children may grow up believing rest equals laziness or weakness. Jesus Himself often withdrew to rest and pray (Luke 5:16). He showed us that rest is not optional; it's vital for clarity, strength, and connection with the Father. Rest refreshes our spirits and refocuses our hearts on what truly matters. When we prioritise God’s rest, we teach our children to value spiritual rhythms over worldly rush.
