Description

However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” — Ephesians 5:33 (NIV)
In God’s design for marriage, love and respect are not negotiable—they are foundational. Paul’s words to the Ephesians highlight a beautiful balance: husbands are to love sacrificially, and wives are to respect intentionally. These two virtues, when mutually expressed, create a rhythm of harmony that strengthens marriages and sets an example for children to follow. In today’s culture, honor can feel outdated, but in a godly home, it’s a non-negotiable. Children learn how to treat others by watching their parents. A father who loves gently and a mother who respects consistently teach more through their actions than any lesson ever could.
