January 1, 2021, kicks off the new year! HAPPY NEW YEAR, to you all. Yes, the time has come to wrap up the old and usher in the new. What's in store exactly? I don't know. But, I will give thanks to God for a new beginning, a fresh start, and second chances. The year 2020 will go down in US history as a time of civil, social, and political unrest; a period when hundreds of thousands of people lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic public health crisis; and two-quarters of the US economy crashing. Through it all, many lost hope and the possibility of what a bright future may hold.
Jeremiah 29:11-12 (NIV) says, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you." No matter what the circumstances, hold fast to God's promises and plans for our lives. He listens and responds to our prayers of adoration, confession, thanksgiving, and supplication.
