How do you retire gracefully? With so many baby boomers now reaching that transitional moment in their lives, what can they do to ensure they remain productive members of society, while doing something that can also be personally fulfilling and enriching? Finding meaningful volunteer work could be the answer. Allan Luks will discuss how the newly retired baby boomers can keep themselves active through volunteer work. A volunteer and nonprofit leader, he is the author of the best-selling, "The Healing Power of Doing Good," where he coined the phrase "Helper's High" -- the feeling people get when they do good deeds. Allan is a visiting professor at Fordham University, where he helped found the Graduate Center for Nonprofit Leadership. He is also the former director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of New York City.
