A-10 pilot Kim Campbell's aircraft was hit by a surface to air missile over Baghdad, knocking out the planes hydraulics. She was able to nurse her badly damaged plane 300 miles back to base. Maintainers counted more than 600 holes in her aircraft.
Kim would be awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for that mission.
