Slavery was a horrible insitution for African people brought to the shores of colonial America. The slaves were made to work in harsh conditions. Their language and culture was stolen from them. The slaves were raped,beaten,humiliated,and murdered. This great stain on America is part of the history of this nation. But there are those within the Tea Party that feel we should forget slavery. Slavery will never be forgotten. We as the descendants of slaves in America can't forget what our people went through.
