Description

In the second episode of the spooky Halloween specials for the month of October, Liz and Katie talk about a legend local to their stomping grounds... Eunice "Goody" Cole. Traveling from England with her husband in the mid 1600s, Goody Cole was disliked by her community for being too bold and standing up for what she believed in. She also swore like a sailor and that was just no good to her Puritan neighbors. On three separate occasions, Goody Cole is accused of being a witch- for things such as taking the shape of animals and cursing someone's oven to make foul bread. In her 90 years of life, she endured plenty of prison sentences and whippings, only to die alone in a shack. Tune in this week to True Crime New England and learn about the lady who still haunts the town of Hampton, New Hampshire to this day. Check out our website: truecrimene.com
