Description

Take a trip to Boston, Massachusetts with Katie and Liz as they discuss the largest museum heist in history. In the early morning of March 18th, 1990, two security guards were working the overnight shift at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. Suddenly, two police officers buzz in, claiming they are responding to a disturbance. Unfortunately, they weren't police officers... they were thieves. After handcuffing the security guards, the thieves spent 81 minutes moving through the museum, stealing 13 pieces of art, valued at over $500 million in today's money. Due to lax security measures, the faux police officers escaped without a trace. Despite some decent suspects, to this day all 13 pieces of art have not been found. Anyone with any information about the stolen art is asked to please contact the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or the Museum Director of Security Anthony Amore at (617)-278-5114.
