This week Patti chats to playwright, performer, translator, father, grandmother and SAINT Jo Clifford about her storied and prolific career. Topics include Jo’s flagship show ‘The Gospel According to Jesus, Queen of Heaven,’ how to write five plays a year, standing up to rightwing backlash, and boys' boarding school (it’s worse than you think). Along the way, they discuss Brazil, queer parenting, bell ringing, and She Who Must Not Be Named. Also, churches as performance venues - great acoustics and very cheap!
