Wendell Lightborn, also known as the Moon Mad Murderer, was a Bermudian serial killer who terrorized Warwick Parish in 1958-1959. He attacked multiple women, leaving some badly beaten and others raped and murdered. The police initially treated the cases as separate incidents, but eventually connected them. Lightborn was convicted of one murder and confessed to another, but was not formally charged with the other crimes. He was sentenced to life imprisonment and sent to the UK. The FBI declined to assist in the investigation.
