This week we review and discuss F1: The Movie, a sports drama directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring Brad Pitt, Damson Idris and Kerry Condon, about a racing driver who returns to Formula One (F1) after a 30-year absence to save his former teammate's underdog team, APXGP, from collapse.
We discuss our thoughts on sports movies in general, how this movie was able to get our attention with its charming characters despite its standard plot and our limited interest in Formula 1 in the first place, discuss whether the movie's story was satisfying and managed to cross the finish line for us, whether authenticity is important in movies in general, and much more.
