This week we review and discuss Sonic the Hedgehog 3, an action-adventure comedy movie directed by Jeff Fowler and starring Jim Carrey, Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves. It follow Sonic, Tails and Knuckles as they face a new enemy, Shadow the Hedgehog, who allies with the mad scientists Ivo and Gerald Robotnik in pursuit of revenge against humanity.
We discuss how Sonic 3 manages to deliver what fans expect from a Sonic movie while at the same time being underwhelming in the story department, how that story could have been improved by leaning harder into the themes that are touched on in the movie, and much more.
