XO are a shoegaze/alternative rock band from the US. The band formed in 2004 by twin brothers Jake (guitar, bass, keys, vox) and Jeff Turner (guitar, bass, drums, keys, vox). In 2005, the twins joined international touring act Say Anything as live touring members. The six-track Some Day EP (Feb 2009) and The Tokyo Single were rec by Matt Malpass (Blink 182, Copeland) and mast by Michael Fossenkemper (The Get Up Kids). Their 1st album, Heart (Feb 2014) featured Joseph Assef (drums), rec at Hurley Studios and mixd by Parker Case (SA) and XO, mast by Hans DeKline (Pixies) via Rory/ Equal Vision Records. Part Time Punks Sessions (Aug 2018) rec/mixd by Eric Rennaker , Drew Fisher (1-4) and Josiah Mazzaschi (5-8) in LA. Wonder (Apr 2019) was rec at Hurley Studios (Costa Mesa, CA) with Jon Berry (Rufio), mixd by the twins mast by Phil Odom (Downward). Courage (Mar 2021) rec by the twins in a practice space in LBC, mixd and mast by Phil Odom. Spirit Looking Out (Aug 2024) was rec by the twins at a practice space in LBC, mixd/mast by Jake at home. Under The Stars (Dec 2024) is Jeff (guitar/vox), Jake (vox) featuring Brady Megee (bass), Serge Vladimiroff (guitar) & Henry Chandanais (drums) was rec/mixd by Todd Hutchisen (Crystal Canyon) and Jeff mast by Pat Keane at Acadia in Portland, Maine. The band is now based in New England, currently playing shows and working on it.
