Description

As Christian women, we are called to live a life that reflects both humility and obedience — not only in our words, but in our actions, our appearance, and the way we represent Christ to the world. One powerful symbol of this obedience is the wearing of a head covering, particularly when delivering the Word or operating in spiritual gifts such as prophecy. It’s not merely a cultural or religious tradition; it is a biblical act of submission and reverence to God’s divine order. In 1 Corinthians 11:5-6, Paul writes, “But every woman who prays or prophesies with her head uncovered dishonors her head... if a woman does not cover her head, she might as well have her hair cut off.” This scripture reminds us that God cares not only about what we say, but how we present ourselves as vessels of His truth. Head coverings are not about control — they’re about reflecting a heart posture of humility, order, and respect toward God’s authority.
