We have to understand something deep, something most of us overlook while chasing the temporary treasures of this world: the value is not in the money. The value is in God. Until we accept this truth, we will continue to walk blindly, praying for riches, begging for dollars, asking God to fill our bank accounts instead of asking Him to fix our broken hearts, our sick bodies, and our shattered homes. We keep missing it—and this is the problem. We’ve made money our god. We run to God, yes, but we ask Him to give us money like money is the Savior. We go to the true and living God and beg Him for something that has no breath, no power, no eternity, and no divinity. And then we wait for that thing to deliver us. But how can a dollar bill redeem you from your suffering? How can it restore what was broken? How can it give life, when it was never alive in the first place? We are putting our faith in something that was never designed to carry the weight of our souls. That’s idolatry. And that’s why we stay in spiritual and physical poverty—because we don’t recognize who is the true source of all things. God is not a genie. He is the Creator. He holds the earth in His hand, and if we don’t get that now, we’ll continue to worship what was never supposed to be worshiped. We are asking for money like it’s going to save us. But if a sickness hits your body and doctors can’t find a cure, all your money will mean nothing. All your wealth, your influence, your connections—they will all fail you. And the only name you’ll be able to call on in that moment will be the name that holds power over death, over disease, over darkness. That name is Jesus Christ. There is no other name that can do what Jesus can do. None. You see, money will fail you. People will fail you. The systems in place that we think will protect us—those too will collapse. And then what? Then you’ll come to the realization that the only One who has never failed you is God. But God should not be your last resort—He should be your first.Look around. Look at the world right now. The government is telling you that your money is no good. They're refusing to use the funds they have to help the ones who need it most. They're turning their backs on the poor, the hungry, the sick, the widow, the orphan. If the government doesn’t plan on saving them—if they don’t even plan on saving you—then what makes you think money will? The money is powerless without the hand of God moving on your behalf. You have no choice but to fall to your knees and call on the One who never runs out of resources, never runs out of power, and never runs out of love. You need to ask God to forgive you. Repent for making money your god. Repent for putting more trust in your bank account than in your prayer life. Repent for ignoring the voice of God while listening to the voice of the world.Because God will get His reverence—one way or another. Either you give it to Him willingly, or He’ll strip away everything until all you have left is Him. And don’t get it twisted—He’s not being cruel. He’s being merciful. Because when all else fails, and He is the only thing standing, you will finally understand that He is enough. He always has been. He always will be.
