As protests rise again in Los Angeles and tensions continue to build in our nation, many believers are asking an important question: Where is God in all of this? And more than that, Is this all part of something much bigger than politics? Some have boldly declared that Trump could be the Antichrist. But let’s pause. That’s a huge claim—one that requires real spiritual discernment, not emotional speculation. Instead, let’s do what we should’ve been doing from the beginning: go back to the Word of God.In 1 Samuel chapter 12, we see a powerful lesson. The people of Israel demanded a king. They no longer wanted to be governed by the voice of God through prophets. They wanted a human ruler like other nations. God gave them Saul—not because it was His perfect will, but because of their hardened hearts. In verse 12 it says:“But when you saw that Nahash king of the Ammonites came against you, you said to me, ‘No, but a king shall reign over us’—when the Lord your God was your king.” (1 Samuel 12:12, NKJV)
