The Real Problem with the 12-Hour CapThe 12-hour limit doesn’t take into account the nature of being self-employed in a volatile market. Drivers often wait for orders in between rides, spend time looking for hotspots, or take breaks during slow hours. All of this counts against their clock. So in reality, they might only be actively working 6 to 8 hours, but the app sees 12 hours of logged-in time and shuts them down.On top of that, the timer often does not reset at midnight or even after 24 hours, leaving drivers in limbo. There is no one to talk to. There is no real customer service. You're forced to "chat" with bots or send emails that never get answered. For a company that claims to empower drivers, there is very little empowerment to be found. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 5:18, “The worker deserves his wages.” When systems fail to allow hard-working individuals to earn what they’ve worked for, something is wrong. God sees the injustice, and He hears the cries of the workers who are being pushed down.
