Why does God never give me what I want?
Many of us believe that if something seems good, then it must be from God. But the truth is, not every “good idea” is a God idea. Just because we want something doesn’t mean it’s right for us—or that it’s the right time. God doesn’t have a problem blessing us or giving us what we desire, but it must align with His purpose for our lives. In Jeremiah 29:11, God says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.” This reminds us that God’s plans are always for our good—even when they don’t match our own desires in the moment.
