Check it. Paul was writing to a young church in a pagan culture. Sound familiar? "Stay awake. Stay sober. Do not drift. 1Thessalonians 5:6 is a wake up call to spiritual vigilance. We are not just talking about sin. We are talking about distraction. Comfort. Complacency. Then Samson. Set apart from the womb. Fumbled it all because he got comfortable with compromise. Delilah was not his girlfriend. She was his grave. Then Jesus in the garden. Blood mixing with sweat. In agony. And His boys were sleeping. This teaching is your alarm clock! Your destiny is too important to sleep through. Get up!
