Karen says her Dad always told her, “You can have anything you want in your lifetime; all you have to do is work for it!” Coming from the finance world and a successful accounting career, Karen made the jump to the world of beauty and opened Luxe Salon and Spa on Monroe Avenue in 2005. When this location could no longer meet the needs of a growing business,Luxe moved to the new, larger location on Jefferson and Winton Rd in 2012. As my business continued to grow, I purchased a spa not knowing that the previous owner was bankrupt! I financially turned it around, while adding additional space for a hair salon. I quickly outgrew my space, and having one of my goals to own a building, I purchased a 16,000 square foot building, which is now the home of Luxe Salon, Spa, and Laser Center. At this point, I was ready to start working on the business so I stepped away from being a technician. I hired and coached my team to reach their monetary successes!
