Bill Barnett has amassed a fortune as a real estate investor since he began buying and selling properties in 1997. Early in his investing career, Bill had the great good fortune to encounter Robert G. Allen, the renowned real estate investment guru, whose bestselling books included Nothing Down, Creating Wealth, and Multiple Streams of Income. By diligently applying Mr. Allen’s winning investment strategies, plus devising a number of his own, Bill made a bundle in real estate…in less than 120 days.
Bill went from being one of Robert Allen’s best students to being one of his six instructors. Traveling with Mr. Allen, Bill conducted a rigorous, non-stop schedule of intensive 3-day training seminars and live 90-minute teleconferences, and as well as frequently speaking at local real estate clubs and associations around the country. In the midst of his demanding schedule, he managed to write a book to share his foolproof wealth-building formula with everyone, ARE YOU DUMB ENOUGH TO BE RICH?: The Amazingly Simple Way to Make Millions in Real Estate (AMACOM; June 24, 2003). “It only takes a small dose of success coupled with a marginal shift in thinking to change your destiny,” writes Barnett.
Over the course of his investing career, Bill has worked alongside or shared the speaking platform with a wide range of luminaries, including Mark Victor Hansen, Zig Ziglar, Wally “Famous” Amos, Paul Harvey, Art Linkletter, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, Dr. Robert Schuller, Earl Nightingale, Victor Kiam, and Chili’s founder Norman Brinker.Today, Bill lives and works in Arlington, Texas, and counts many successful North Texas investors among his students. In addition to his mentoring and speaking commitments, he is Director of Acquisitions for CAPSTONE Properties Group, as well as working with his wife, Kris, in their extensive metroplex brokerage, DFW Properties.
