Description

In this episode we talk about one of my favorite topics: hunting mule deer in open country. We look forward to these hunts and since the tags can be so hard to draw, we want to arm ourselves with the right gear and the right mindset. What are the things we are looking for on an aerial photo? What are we looking for at a water hole? How far do big bucks bed from their water? Where are they right now and how to separate them from the mountain mahogany or the sage brush with a spotting scope or a good binocular? This is it folks! This is deer season and these tags are getting harder to draw. Hunt mule deer and you will come to respect this animal. It’s a big game of chess and you only have a few days to get the pieces in place to put the king in your sights.
