I am excited to sit down with you today for our second Small Talk. As I’ve often said, I think we are all in some sort of survival journey. After the tragic and sudden death of my husband, part of my survival was asking lots of questions—about my life, about why this happened to my family, about why I was on this earth—heavy questions, but I think we all ask them at some point in our lives. I certainly don’t have the answers to all of those existential questions, but I can share some of the things I’ve learned that have helped me in my path forward. Some of my best lessons have come from my Dad and my sister about what it means to be ‘in service’ to the world. And how, sometimes giving others their dignity, is the greatest service you can do.
