Well, you have to look at it poetically and see how it applies to us today. Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t know anybody off the top of my head who actually owns or tends a flock or herd of sheep or goats or any of that—but the principle stands. In a sense, everybody has a flock. Your flock is your resource stack—”resource stack?” Yeah See You are stacked with resources–your talents, your energy, your skill set, your network, your ideas. Everything you care for, cultivate, and steward is part of your resource stack. So, how are you arranging and presenting your resources out here in these streets? Well, it depends on how well you know your own stack. In the original language, this verse starts out with two words, יָדַע יָדַע yāḏa , yāḏa . And in Hebrew, whenever a word is repeated in sacred text, it's because it's really a serious emphasis, it's important. So yāḏa means to know. So in our vernacular it would be saying "know that you know." So put that together and you get: "know that you know your own resource stack". What?? That hits right! Don't it!See this is more than casual awareness. It’s focused presence. Know that you know what you got deep inside of you so that when you face this world you know that greater is what you got inside of you than anything surrounding you. Invest in what you ‘got deep inside of you’ with your presence, your energy, your intention—and build it deliberately, it’s your project, it’s your song, it’s your masterpiece: all from the core of your ‘resource stack’.Last month our group released our newest song, “I Got Something.” When I wrote it, I saw it as a rallying cry for everyone who feels like the underdog, who’s faced more against them than for them—those moments when the world seems stacked, double stacked, and triple stacked—but deep down, you already got something your God given ‘resource stack’ that can outweigh it all! You just have to know it, use it, and show it.When you pay passionate attention to what you’ve got, you heighten the advantage of opportunities that come your way. You learn which skills to showcase, which to hold back, when to invest your energy, and when to wait. You notice patterns others miss, anticipate openings, and capitalize on the moments that matter. Your resource stack isn’t just a collection—it’s your leverage.Too many of us stumble not because we lack resources, but because we don’t pay attention to the resource stack that’s within us. Master these, and wealth—whether money, influence, or skills—becomes a tool, not a trap.Remember:When you know your stack, the world works around you, not against you.🙏🏽 Prayer God help me steward my resources wisely, fully and intentionally.💡 Today’s Challenge:Pick one part of your resource stack—talent, skill, or idea—and give it 10 focused minutes today. Document what you do. Reflect on what grows when you pay full attention. Treat your attention like currency and watch your stack multiply.About the AuthorFred Lynch is a creative communicator, author, and Christian Hip Hop pioneer.
