Thanks in advance. Here we go again — a new day, a new week. We’re ALMOST in the middle of what we just thought was a new month! Football season’s kicking off. For some, school is back in session. We’re so close to reaching summer’s peak, and you might be feeling at your peak. You might be feeling broke down — exhausted, worn out, maybe just–running on empty right now.So I want to give you the word that you need right now. And that’s not to tell you to get up… The word I want to deliver today is:Open up. Connect and to Source.“Because opening up to Source gives you energy you simply can’t muster on your own.” It’s like plugging into a power grid that never runs low, even when your personal battery feels drained.A few years ago, I recorded a spoken word piece that I like to call Rhymeformations where I combined the power of daily affirmations with the stickiness of flowing in rhyme — made exactly for times like these when you need that spiritual “pick me up.” Here’s a line you need to catch:“I am connected to Source. I receive and in re-course become a resource.”Ahh, I hope you got that! Connecting to Source — the Center of your Joy — is like becoming a human extension cord delivering power to those running on empty. (which, believe it or not, is pretty much everyone you’ll meet today). So why not be the connection factor in the equation?Another way of looking at it: when you generously refresh others — as the scripture says — you’re not just a container storing blessings. No, you become a conduit that’s actively streaming blessings! Now, you do the math in your head… which experiences more flow? The container or the conduit? I’m betting on the conduit.Think of a conduit in electricity or water systems: it doesn’t just hold water or power — it channels it, lets it flow through. And the more you flow, the more there is to give. When you receive life, grace, strength, love, and fresh power, as a conduit, you get what you need and pass it on. Why? Because you’re connected to Source, and through the recourse of seeing God’s grace flow through you to others, you KNOW there’s always more where that came from! You become a resource — a refreshment station for others. And in refreshing them, you yourself are refreshed. And this is why I say that:Generosity is Positively Contagious (A Fresh Science Spin)Generosity is like an invisible energy that catches and spreads — like a positive virus that infects hearts and minds. When you give, you don’t just improve your own mood — you spark a chain reaction of kindness that radiates through your community. This “contagion” isn’t just metaphorical. Neuroscience shows that acts of generosity ignite brain networks tied to empathy, connection, and reward. The feelings of joy you get when helping others are powerful enough to motivate you to do it again and again and again—like it’s habit forming: creating a ripple effect of generosity. And it’s no small thing. Psychologist Stephen Post highlights that altruism is linked to longer life and stronger health, because when you’re generous, your body relaxes, your immune system strengthens, and your emotional resilience grows. So generosity isn’t just a gift you give others — it’s a healing force for your whole being. It’s a powerful cycle: you give refreshment, then you are refreshed, and pass that refreshing on.That’s why my mission, and the heartbeat of everything I do, is about positive contagion—in other words, that’s why I say, “Make the Sacred Positively Contagious”– That’s a movement that spreads so fast it can’t be stopped. So Catch This:Refresh others—and watch the blessing bounce back amplified.🙏🏽 PrayerLord, help me apply this wisdom to my life today.💡 Today’s Challenge:Identify three blessings you often overlook. Speak them aloud. Write them on your bathroom mirror to remind yourself about yourself!
