Remember? Your eyes are closed (no peaking), you’re reaching out, and your friends are calling: “You’re getting warm… hotter… no, colder… warmer… hot!”That’s what Proverbs 2:3 feels like. God saying: “Yes… you’re on the right track. Keep reaching. Keep asking. Keep leaning in.”Curiosity is the heat that guides the hunt toward wisdom.👀 Curiosity: A Lost GiftWhile we celebrate the comfort of routine, the greatest human achievements have always been born from a restless desire to know more. But here’s the paradox: we’re born curious … yet society trains us to tone it down. Kids naturally ask questions—sometimes too many questions—and soon they’re told:“Stop asking ‘why’ all the time!WHY do you wanna know? Why are you being so nosy?WHY can’t you mind your own business??”And so curiosity gets buried under peer pressure and pretense. What we should fan into flame, we’re taught to smother, to silence, to strangle.🤝 The Three PracticesThat’s why I love being a trainer and referee for an incredible social experiment that has exploded called Three Practice Circles. Shout out to my entire three practice circle family! And if you’ve never tried it, go to 3practices.com you won’t be disappointed. The practices go like this:* I’ll be unusually interested in others.* I’ll stay in the room with difference.* I’ll stop comparing my best with your worst.Notice—the first one starts with unusual interest. That’s just another way of saying: radical curiosity. And it’s only when we risk curiosity—about others, about God, about the world—that we start discovering real wisdom.📣 Call Out or Tune OutNow let’s be real: most people don’t want curiosity. They want the mic. They want to be heard, not to hear. But wisdom says: raise your voice—not to broadcast your opinions—but to beg for insight. To crave understanding. To hunger for truth. That’s curiosity in action.💡 Divine CuriosityThis isn’t just about our curiosity. Did you know that God is curious too?Not because He doesn’t know—but because He longs to be known. Relationship is fueled by curiosity—by listening, by leaning in, by asking the next question. That’s the kind of curiosity that builds communion and transforms connection.🎤 Remember This:Facts may feed your mind for a moment, but curiosity will fuel your soul for a movement.PrayerLord, keep my curiosity alive; let me live to learn.Today’s ChallengeInstead of making your next conversation about being heard—practice being curious. Out-Ask someone today. Don’t rush to have the last word.
