She was blind — and yet she saw everything that mattered. Trust. 👁️✨The little 1st grader jumps in the car first — bright as the sun ☀️ “Good morning! Who are you and how are you doing?”I said, “Fine,” still trying to catch up to this kid’s energy. Then the 5th grader — the big brother — sits up front, cool as can be 😎 I ask, “You the oldest?” He says, “Yeah.”And I’m thinking, how you gonna be in the 5th grade and sound like a grown man? 😂Then there’s the 3rd grader in the back — total boss energy 💼 Calling the shots, making sure we stop for lunch because she’s got a field trip that day.And of course, Little Sunshine 🌞 — the 1st grader — starts crying because he didn’t get a hamburger like the 3rd grader did.Meanwhile, the 4th grader’s just chillin’ in the middle of the storm. And there — right in the middle of all that morning chaos — was one calm, loving, totally engaged presence.Their mother. Blind for 10 years, but leading with more clarity than most people with perfect vision. She was guiding them — not by command, but by questions:“When you want to ask the teacher something, what do you do?”The kids laugh: “No, not ‘Hey teacher!’ — we raise our hands!” 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️Then she asks, “And when it’s time to clean up?” And they all burst into song — (except the 5th grader, of course 😆): 🎶 Clean up, clean up, everybody clean up! 🎶📍 Right there, I had to swallow a lump in my throat. Because my wife used to sing that same song to our kids 25 years ago. 💭That’s when it hit me — this woman wasn’t just managing her house…She was building it — moment by moment, habit by habit, love by love. ❤️And it reminded me of Proverbs 9:1 —“Wisdom has built her house; she has set up her seven pillars.”🎙️ I had the privilege of interviewing her and asking what keeps her going. So let’s dive into this inspiring conversation and see what we can learn from her wisdom and her journey.🎧 INTERVIEWFred: Hey, what’s up everybody? This is Fred Lynch and I’m hanging out with one of my customers, Ms. Namir.Ms. Namir is blind, but she has five children! We just took all the kids to school, and listen — this sister was brilliant in how she handled each and every one of them. The emotions up and down — the cool one, the excited one, the one crying — how do you do it all, Ms. Namir?Ms. Namir: Uh, just like any parent. I’ve been blind for 10 years, so I went to school for training — learning how to take care of myself and others. I raise my kids, take them everywhere by Uber. They play sports, they do Scouts — almost everything!Fred: Well, sis Namir, you do it well. 📍 You inspired me so much just watching how you handle your children and handle life.Ms. Namir: Thank you so much.Fred: You’re welcome! Hey, y’all — go and get out there and be wise. Be well. ✌🏽You see what I mean? 🙌 Shout out to Sister Namir and her husband, Norie. They built their house — 📍 and sometimes, they had to build it in the dark.No excuses. No self-pity. Just love, discipline, and presence. 💪🏽She may not be able to see her children’s faces, but she can feel their future. That’s vision deeper than sight — that’s wisdom in motion.💥 Remember:You don’t need eyes to see what Wisdom’s been showing all along.PrayerLord, help me build strong — even when I can’t see.Today’s ChallengeLook around your house — physical or spiritual. What’s one pillar you can strengthen today through wisdom?Because Wisdom’s still building... and she’s inviting you to build with her. 💫About the AuthorFred Lynch is a creative communicator, author, and Christian Hip Hop pioneer.
