Thanks in advance.Reproof. It’s not a word that we use these days. But I purposely chose the ESV because of it: Re-proof.I love words–and here’s what I see in one: Reproof = Re-proving.It’s like life is saying, “Prove to me that you’ve learned the lesson, and once you’ve proven it…show me your ‘proof’ again.”And somewhere in that endless cycle of repeating, redoing, and re-proving—usually when you stop counting—the glow of greatness starts to shine. That’s when you find your way.But none of that happens unless you first try. When you take that first risk, it’s raw.You hope. You jump. You try.But that first ‘risk-take’ often leads to a ‘miss-take’.You fall. You fail. You flinch. But if you keep showing up, something powerful happens:You learn what works. You let the light of the teaching shine in. And when you find your way—you mark it.It moves from instinct to muscle memory. Something that you know that you know that you know And you lock it in and call it: ‘this-take’.Do you see the progression?Risk-take → Miss-take → This-take.That’s reproof. That’s the way of life.🎯 Think about how many people say they wanna be like Mike. Michael Jordan missed over 9,000 shots in his career. Lost almost 300 games. 26 times, he was trusted with the game-winning shot—and missed. But those aren't what he's known for right? He’s remembered for the shots that did go in— the ones that won rings, shut down arenas, and froze time. And those clutch shots? They only looked effortless because of countless hours of repetition.Once Again…Reproof. Here’s a loop I teach students, and I want to share it with you:The more you do it, the better you get. The better you get, the more you do it.That’s the loop right there! Simple but effective. It’s the Loop that Leads to Life. And the more you do it, the more you prove it.Every reproof is proof in reverse. Proof that you’re still learning. Still growing. Still in the game.So when life corrects you—don’t resist it. Receive it. Let it shape you. Reproof isn’t rejection—it’s redirection. It’s God’s way of coaching you toward consistency.Remember:Your greatness isn’t just in your proof—it’s in your reproof.🙏🏽 PrayerProve and reprove me until I become who You designed.💡 Today’s Challenge:Think about one area where you’ve failed or fallen recently. Instead of hiding it, revisit it. Ask: What did I learn? What can I re-prove today? Write it down. Try again—with intention.About the AuthorFred Lynch is a creative communicator, author, and Christian Hip Hop pioneer.
