All posts are free, but all donations help spread the message. When you see the word “upgrade,” you’re simply invited to help me make the sacred positively contagious...thank you in advance for becoming a free or paid subscriber. So much trouble in the world today… When I began writing this episode and started with that line, it immediately made me remember Snoop Dogg’s classic rhyme:“With so much drama in the LBC, it’s kinda hard bein’ Snoop D-O-double-G…… but I somehow, someway keep coming up with funkiest hits like every single day…””Well, Snoop didn’t say it quite like that, but we’re gonna keep it rated G today—No “somehow-someway”...naw, we’re gonna dip into the scriptures and find out exactly how to bring joy to the heart and health to the bones. That’s what Proverbs 15:30 proclaims, that you can spot someone with good news coming a mile away—it’s that light in their eyes, that grin that says they’ve got something that’ll make your day.So today? I got some of that for you. We’re about to flood your ears—and your soul—with good news that’s happening in our world. And I wanna test this and see if it does just what it claims: bring a little health to your bones. You feel me? Then let the experiment begin!Good News FestBefore we dive in, I want to give a quick disclaimer: I know—I often speak about the darkness of crooked systems, the pain disinherited folk, and the brokenness of bad leadership. But that’s part of wisdom—to see the bad and not deny it.But right now, I want to bring some light to the mix. Think of it as your soul supplement. Not me being the supplement—but the good news itself nourishing you from within.Let’s season your spirit with what’s good. Beacons of kindness. Examples of grace. Let’s turn up the volume on light and life. Here are eight quick stories to remind you that good still wins:🌍 Good News Highlights* A 7-year-old in Atlanta started handing out “joy bags” to homeless neighbors—snacks, socks, and handwritten notes saying “You’re loved.” It started as a school project; now it’s a neighborhood movement.* A group of barbers in Chicago offered free haircuts and counseling sessions to teens struggling with depression. They said, “If we can’t change the system, we’ll start with a chair and some clippers.”* An artist in Gaza painted murals on bombed walls—not of destruction, but of flowers, kids, and hope. When asked why, he said, “Because beauty resists despair.”* In the UK, a parrot named Pablo got famous for mimicking his owner’s laughter so perfectly that it started cheering up neighbors during lockdown. Now the owner livestreams “Laugh with Pablo Fridays” — just 10 minutes of contagious joy.* A coffee shop in Detroit lets customers “pay it forward” by pre-purchasing coffee for anyone in need. They’ve given away more than 15,000 cups this year.* A man in Brazil spent his life savings building a playground in a poor neighborhood—because he said, “If joy is contagious, I want to start an outbreak.”* High schoolers in Texas built 3D-printed prosthetic arms for kids overseas—free of charge. She’d fallen inside and couldn’t reach the phone. So…Did It Work?Ahh…See? That’s what light does.Light flickers in eyes. Light whispers, “All is not lost.”When we carry good news, people’s bones—their core—are nourished. That’s not wishful thinking. That’s divine design. Here’s my PointDon’t just consume light. Reflect it by becoming a messenger. When your eyes shine with truth, your presence heals. You don’t need permission—just the willingness to flick your switch.PrayerLord, kindle the light in me so others may believe.Today’s ChallengeShare one of these good stories today—text it, post it, say it over coffee. Let somebody taste the light you just absorbed. Be the messenger your world is starving for.About the AuthorFred Lynch is a creative communicator, author, and Christian Hip Hop pioneer.
