Proverbs 18:3When a wicked person arrives, contempt shows up with him, and with shame comes a reproach.Proverbs Daily is a reader-supported publication. When you see the word “upgrade,” you’re simply invited to help me make the sacred positively contagious...thank you in advance for becoming a free or paid subscriber.Ever walk into a room and before anyone said a word… you felt something shift? The air got heavier. The vibe dimmed. Your nervous system whispered, “Uh-uh… something’s wrong up in here.”Or— someone walked in and the whole atmosphere lifted. Peace came with them. Joy followed behind them in like a breeze.Scripture plainly describes this: Some people carry contempt in their footsteps. Not because they try— but because it’s who they’ve become.🌀 Why I Titled This: “We Feel and SEE Your Frequency”Because we absolutely do.Your nervous system broadcasts. Your face, shoulders, tone— your entire presence sends a signal before your mouth even opens.Kids see it. Dogs see it. Cats—they see it (they just act like they don’t). Everybody else we all it!It’s only us socially assimilated ‘grown-ups’ who pretend we don’t know.Psychologists call it emotional contagion— your inner world leaks out and syncs with the room.Neuroscientists call it co-regulation— Where our nervous systems sync with each other.Polyvagal experts call it state transmission— your presence shaping someone else’s biology. But Proverbs 18:3 had an ancient way to describe it: “When the wicked arrive, contempt comes with them.”Your frequency enters the room before you walk into the room!🔥 The Bible Already Told Us Presence Has a VibrationRemember Moses in Exodus 33?He begged, “God, show me Your glory.” God replied, “You can’t see My face and live… but I will let My presence will pass by you.”So, God hides Moses in the cleft of a rock, passes by, and Moses catches the afterglow. And what does Scripture record? Not visuals— voices declaring God’s character:“The Lord, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, rich in love and truth…” (Exodus 34)Those voices…are frequencies! Adoni’s Attributes in motion. Divine vibrations filling the air.Moses didn’t see God’s face— he felt God’s frequency. And since we’re made in His image? You carry a unique frequency too.👁🗨 The Frequency You Carry Is the Identity You CultivateAngry people broadcast anger. Wounded people broadcast fear. Loving people broadcast safety. Wise people broadcast calm.Your presence is preaching before your sermon starts. So ask yourself: What walks in the room when I do? Peace or pressure? Joy or judgment? Healing or heaviness?🌱 The EncouragementYour frequency is your signature. You can tune it. You can raise it. You can cultivate a presence that makes people breathe easier just because you showed up.💥 RememberYour presence is a broadcast— make sure your signal blesses the room.PrayerTune my presence, Lord, to carry peace into every place.Today’s ChallengeBefore your next interaction, pause and ask: “What frequency am I bringing right now?”Pick only one upgrade— soften your tone, breathe deeper, slow your pace, open your posture— and step into every room as someone who brings life, not someone who drains it.About the AuthorFred Lynch is a creative communicator, author, and Christian Hip Hop pioneer.
