The following is a commentary and speculation of what could occur as a result of the U.N. ratifying and recognizing the State of Palestine on September 23, 2025. As of his post, about 90% of all the U.N. Member States have pledged to recognize Palestine in the General Floor Vote. Out of the 5 Permanent Members of the U.N. Security Council, only the USA is holding-out. But with the majority of Nations in favor, the USA could either Abstain or cast the last vote in favor fully recognizing the State of Palestine.
