Hey there, everyone! It's time for the next section on Six of Crows, which is covering 5 chapters because they were so much shorter this time around.
There's a lot going on here, and I just love the way the narrative skips around from one perspective to another. Also I know that it goes against everything that most of you know about me, but I love the character of Matthias. He's so single-minded, bullheaded, and frustrating! And yet there's something really endearing about him.
This is also the first time we get a really good look at how brutal Kaz can be. We've seen him be cunning and strong-willed and good at reading human nature, but this is the first time we've really seen him be cruel. He digs a dude's eye out of its socket. Like, for fuck's sake.
