The narrative is told from the perspective of Pongo, one of the adult Dalmatian dogs, detailing how he orchestrates the meeting between his owner, Roger, and a woman named Anita, who owns a female dog named Perdita. After their humans marry and Perdita gives birth to fifteen puppies, the villainous Cruella De Vil has the puppies stolen because she wishes to turn them and ninety-nine others into a spotted fur coat. Pongo and Perdita use the Twilight Bark to locate and retrieve their puppies, along with the numerous others, outwitting Cruella and her two henchmen before returning safely to London with all one hundred and one Dalmatians.
