Earlier this month the Football Association announced that more than a quarter of a billion pounds would be invested in grassroots football over the next four years. In Somerset this will see just under £1 million spent on developing football across the county. The custodians of this investment are the Somerset Football Association, charged with delivering the FA’s National Game Strategy.
I spoke with Jon Pike, Chief Executive at the Somerset FA, to find out what the Strategy will mean to grassroots football in the county.
