In December 2017, the 2007 Fifa World Player of the Year, Kaka, announced his retirement at the age of 35. Over his 17 year career he helped Brazil win the 2002 World Cup, won the UEFA Champions League and was a stand-out player for AC Milan and Real Madrid. The last three years of his career were spent with Orlando City in the MLS. In the first of our two-part tribute we talk to people who knew and worked with him including Orlando City chaplain Andy Searles and journalist Stuart Weir. We also hear from Kaka himself as he reflects on his career and the impact that his faith as a follower of Jesus Christ has had on his football and life.
