Darel Allwine is the winemaker for Washington state’s Col Solare winery on Red Mountain. He spent 20 years traveling the world for the Air Force’s Air Mobility Command, including a stint in Germany where he first became interested in wine after touring the Mosel and the Rheingau. Col Solare is part of the Grand Tasting at this weekend’s Taste Washington, Seattle’s premier wine and food event featuring more than 225 Washington State wineries and 65 Pacific Northwest restaurants at CenturyLink Field Event Center.
