The Artist
Frozene Lott Hayes The gospel music ministry of multiple Rhythm of Gospel Award-winning artist Frozene Lott Hayes is a living testimony to faith triumphant over tribulation. When she began her ministry in 1982 as an Independent Gospel Artist with the songs “Lord Will You Use Me” and “Already Been to the Water,” Frozene had no idea that one day, in the depths of her own personal tragedy, she herself would be embracing such words and feelings, ultimately rejuvenated by the very music that God has blessed her with the talent to bring forth. Since her first release in 1985 of a Traditional Gospel recording of 6 songs, titled “Reach Out For Jesus,”

Frozene has recorded “Build Bridges Instead of Walls,” produced by renowned Chicago music producer Richard Gibbs (2003), and “Thank You Jesus One More Time,” produced by the director of the Orchestra Nashville Gospel Choir, Nathan Young (2007). In 2011, she released her first single, “There is a God.” Her most-recently released single is “Oh Lord, Who Shall Abide.” She is the lead vocalist on two of the Late Reverend C.L. Fairchild’s performances -- “I’ve Got a Testimony” and “Have You Tried Him” -- with his Voices of Greater Faith; and she has appeared on Nashville’s legendary Nashville Gospel TV show, and recorded Live TV Tapings for Chicago’s Gospel TV, “Testify,” “Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel,” and Nashville’s “Reaching the World Ministries.” In 2006, the year in which she would receive “Most Influential African American Arts & Entertainment Award” through the People’s Voice News in Waukegan, Frozene suffered the loss of 2 sons in separate tragedies. With God’s help, Frozene persevered.

After establishing the Lt. Robert Hayes & Aaron Hayes Memorial Scholarship and Youth Basketball Foundation, she released “Thank You Jesus One More Time,” a CD thanking her comforting Saviour. Frozene has received Rhythm of Gospel Awards for 2014 Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year, 2012 Praise and Worship Song of the Year, and three award nominations in 2011. Frozene Lott Hayes is a licensed and ordained minister serving at Mt. Nebo Baptist Missionary Baptist Church (Theodore Bryson Sr., Pastor), Nashville, Tenn. She holds a B.A. degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Columbia College of Missouri.
