You might have not noticed, but Starbucks has now opened its doors. I asked the opinion of the This is Rammy audience for their thoughts. In this podcast episode I chat about one in particular which actually made me realise that Starbucks, might not actually be the bad thing some are expecting.
Starbucks opening hours are:
6.30am – 9pm Monday to Friday
7am-9pm on Saturday
8am-9pm on Sunday
Whilst on Facebook I came across a post in a local group by local resident Emma Davies. She has set up a group which is a little like Rammy Rocks, without the artistic requirement. Bury Book Buddies aims to provide some excitement in finding books that have been hidden around the town.
As I wrote last week, the Ramsbottom to Manchester bus route, Red Express is now going to be hourly outside of peak hours.
I wasn’t expecting it to be quite this fast, but popular public house, The Major has re-opened as of the 2nd of August. New landlord Douglas Lingard and his wife June are quoted in the Bury Times saying:
We are really looking forward to meeting new people and getting back into the brewery again. We are aiming for it to be a community pub.
12:13 – Ramsbottom Cricket News: 🏏On Saturday August 3rd the Junior 2nd team clinched their 13th Junior Cup with an emphatic victory over visitors Crompton.
