On this weeks episode of This is Rammy I had the pleasure of speaking to local artist Adam Rowlinson. I set off for his house on a dark midweek night in October to record the interview, and Adam was extremely welcoming.
Adam creates the stunning vector graphics that you’ll see for sale around various locations in Ramsbottom such as The Lounge, Bridge Street News and Ramsbottom Library.
“I’m massively influenced by 1930’s Art Deco”
Adams style of design is very striking, he said he was inspired by his fondness of 1930’s Art Deco. It first started with him creating posters and designs for locations he would be Mountain Biking with his friends.
The artwork that he had been creating, despite having been doing them for years, was only released publicly in the past 6 months or so.
Talking about the artwork that Adam creates, he admits “It’s a lot easier when it’s something you love. It came from something that was very self indulgent”
Despite Adam claiming to be a bit nervous, he didn’t show it and it was a very relaxed and enjoyable interview. Thanks Adam.
