Hello and welcome to another episode of This is Rammy. This week I was going to talk to you about what you can do in and around Ramsbottom when it’s raining as goodness knows we’ve certainly had a heck of a lot of rain recently, however, I want to give it some more thought rather than rush it out so keep your eyes peeled for that one in the future.
So today instead I’m going through a few of the things that are coming up on the Ramsbottom Calendar over the next few weeks.

Coming up later in the year is the Ramsbottom Jigsaw festival, and I’m not sure if you’ve seen but they are currently asking for volunteers who are able to commit to a few hours to help with things like getting setup and probably finding missing pieces.
It runs for 4 days from Wednesday the 7th to Saturday the 10th of September. If you can spare just a couple of hours to help out at any time in that week (including before and after the event itself), they would be incredibly grateful. Simply email rammyjigsaw@aol.com if you feel you can help or even for just a bit more information. Many thanks!
Could you do with sharpening up those internet skills? Ramsbottom Library are hosting a free online course to get you up to speed with all those internet skills you might be in need of. I’ll be honest, if you’re listening to me know you’re probably skilled enough however maybe you know somebody who could benefit from this course?
The course is on Mondays at Ramsbottom Library starting at 1pm and finishing at 3pm. I believe the first class is on Monday the 11th of July, there is a class on that day, I just don’t know for certain if it’s the first. You will learn things such as online banking, job hunting, keeping in touch with friends and family and using email, as well as keeping safe online.
For further information about any of these sessions, or to book a place, simply call 0161 848 9173

Whilst on the subject of events, I’ve recently fixed an issue with the events page where it wasn’t displaying all the information in a nice way, it does that now so apologies for that and hopefully you’ll be able to see what’s coming up in the month a bit easier.
Outside of events going on around Ramsbottom, I’ve recently bought a couple more things to make it easier to get out and about to record out and about for the show, things like a shorter Mic cable so I’m not going to trip anyone up and I’ve also 3D printed a Mic flag (which you can see on the show notes), it still needs painting but it’s getting there. If you see me out and about with my Mic, pop over and have a chat.
Remember that at the bottom of each episode of This is Rammy is a box where you can leave me a voice message for the show.
Thanks once again for listening to This is Rammy and I’ll catch you soon.
