Description

Yeah, it’s an uncomfortable conversation to have. The one about what’s happening behind closed doors and tall walls. Doors and walls that close behind foolish people going in…and behind damaged people coming out.

Some people have spent much of their lives having that uncomfortable conversation.

And it’s mostly a one-sided conversation. Because hard hearts lead to closed ears. And closed ears lead to eternal actions. And those eternal actions typically lead to more hard hearts.

It’s a vicious cycle that’s been going on, “legally,” here in America for decades. Of course, I’m talking about our own holocaust. Abortion. It’s something that should never have been “legalized.” And it’s something that changes lives forever. In ways most of the guilty parents will never imagine this side of Heaven.

And, back in 2010, I wrote a song about the so-called “guards” who stand behind those tall walls. It’s a somber song with a harsh message. So, it’s a musical version of the uncomfortable conversation.

If You Stand Behind That Wall

There’s a wall here between life and death

Where the unborn are denied their first breath.

There are guards here making sure that life ends

And they don’t care that they’re killing our friends.

Well you can’t plead ignorance…You don’t stand blameless

When you stand in the middle of it all.

As you discard the innocent

You shake foundations.

If you stand behind that wall, you will fall.

There’s a clear line between right and wrong.

Listen close, please, to the words of this song.

We were all, once, where those babies are now.

Mothers kept us…we all made it somehow.

Well, the martyred little ones

Your choice keeps nameless

Never had any single choice at all.

Please don’t discard the innocent

They’re God’s creation…

If you stand behind that wall, you will fall.

You will fall from Grace

To a hopeless place

With eternal, mournful cries.

And the sound you’ll hear ringing in your ear

Is the sound of your own lies.
