While most people start their path in classical dance training around the age of 3, Waldean came into the game a full decade behind at the age of 13, but found himself receiving scholarships with Dance Theater of Harlem and Alvin Ailey already within his first FOUR years of development. All while trying to find the balance in his life in academia, sports, familial expectations, and where dance fit into it all.
