Description

Mark 2:1-12
The text is a story of four friends who went the extra mile to get their friend to Jesus. His situation was hopeless. There was no medicine, treatment, or cure. He needed something supernatural.
Note: The four didn’t try to ‘fix’ their friend but took him to Jesus, someone who could ‘fix’ him.
The Bible doesn’t name these four, but they loved their friend enough to get him to Jesus.
It is amazing what can happen when we don’t care who gets the credit!
How long has it been since you have done something radical to reveal Jesus?
What ‘roof’ needs to be torn off your life so someone can see Jesus?
Mark 2:5 ‘Jesus saw their faith’-faith that made them do something radical.
The paralyzed man was brought for forgiveness but for healing.
Jesus wants to address the sins of our lives before the needs of our physical life.
When we do radical things to get our friends to Jesus, things can get messy!

Why Does God Give Breakthroughs?

For His glory (Revelation 4:11, Isaiah 43:7).

To manifest His works (John 9:3).

For His name’s sake—we belong to His kingdom.

5 things about Wisdom in the Bible:

1. Earthly Wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:5-6) – Focused on human reasoning, limited.

2. Demonic Wisdom – Deceptive and self-serving.

3. Godly Wisdom (James 3:17) – Pure, peaceable, and full of mercy.

4. Jesus as Wisdom (1 Corinthians 1:24) – The embodiment of divine wisdom.

5. Wisdom as a Spirit (Isaiah 11:2, Deuteronomy 34:9) – Can be imparted for divine insight and leadership.

How Does Breakthrough Come?

Through Wisdom (Proverbs 24:3-4).

By Seeking God’s Wisdom (Proverbs 2:6, James 1:5).

By Overcoming Worldly Wisdom (1 Corinthians 2:5-6).

By Walking in Godly Wisdom (James 3:17).

Conclusion

Breakthrough comes through faith, obedience, and seeking divine wisdom.

Recognizing the enemy’s tactics (fear, lies, intimidation) is crucial to overcoming struggles.

Biblical examples affirm that God desires to bring supernatural intervention to His people.

By walking in wisdom and trusting in God, we can experience the victory He has planned for us.
