Description

It’s A New Season Judges 6-9 May 7, 2023
When entering a new season:
1. We must see ourselves as God sees us. Judges 6:12
The Angel of the Lord describes Gideon according to what he would become, not what he was.
You may think you are weak, but God knows with Him you are strong! 1 Corinthians 1:26-29
2. We must destroy all idols in our lives. Judges 6:25-26
We don’t have statues of Baal or Ashtaroth Poles in our yards, but we worship what they represent. Baal-success, wealth, possessions. Ashtaroth -sensuality, sexuality, self-gratifying pleasure.
Anything that separate us from God is an idol!
Idols were not acceptable then, and they are not acceptable today.
3. We must overcome fear. Judges 6:13-16
Gideon was a coward. Hiding, scared, complacent. Believing that nothing was going to change. God had forsaken them.
4. We must realize our little becomes a LOT with God. Judges 7:2-7
God was not looking at Gideon’s qualifications, He was looking at his heart.
God is still looking for those who will obey Him, regardless of the obstacles.
How do we walk into a New Season?
By remembering-God see the best in us when we don’t.
By allowing God to use us despite our objections.
By knowing the tough times can be the times we experience the most growth.
By understanding our private faithfulness determine our public usefulness in the Kingdom of God.
