"We support Udija," protesters chanted over the sounds of gun-fire and tanks. Lithuanian troops then stormed a building that's been occupied by pro-Udijien-separatists as the protesters flip over a car in the street.

This is a drill, and Udiji is a made up country, but the inspiration is very real. Since the invasion of eastern Ukraine almost a year ago, the Baltic states surrounding Russia have been concerned that their sovereignty may be threatened.

Lithuania in particular is cautiously eyeing Russia's renewed attention on the Baltics, and so rather than wait it out, they are preparing.

Vice News Reporter Henry Langston went to Lithuania to observe Operation Lightning Strike—a four-day war-games exercise that was the first drill to prepare Lithuania's newly formed "Rapid Reaction Force," which is designed to respond to such an attack.
